This year PGI participates for the first time in Paris Photo (9th – 12th November). We are excited to present a wonderful roster of important Japanese artists’ work, many of which have never before been introduced to audiences outside of Japan. PGI strives to show an alternative history of Japanese photography, with special focus on women artists of a wide range of generations. We also look at how women have been represented, both behind and in front of the camera, across the history of photography.
